Bagni Triponzo Terme, the only Thermal SPA in Umbria, is located in Valnerina at the point mentioned in the Eneide by Virgilio, where the crystalline waters of the Nera river blend with the luke-warm (31°C) thermal spring waters, white with sulfur and rich in magnesium.
The premises were built in 1887 on top of an ancient Roman structure; in this place full of charm, energy and history, nature offers tranquility and well-being.
The spring once used by the legions of Rome is today offered to the guests of the thermal SPA with the same natural ingredients: energy and therapeutic efficacy.
The new Triponzo thermal complex was  created in 2016 by restructuring and connecting two pre-existing buildings. The “Bagni Nuovi” host the SPA with the “Vasca delle Fate”, the “Fonte di Virgilio” and the “Grotta di Alcina”, while the “Bagni Vecchi” offer private suites for beauty treatments, bionatural massages and an exclusive SPA suite. Combining the therapeutic benefits of the SPA with the pleasure of good food is another experience not to be missed, by having a relaxed “bathrobe lunch” in the Acquaforte restaurant.

NOTES
The thermal water of the Baths of Triponzo, rich in magnesium and other minerals, was known for its therapeutic efficacy since Roman times; some of the legions returning from battle in far-away lands used to stop here, to restore themselves, before reentering Rome in “Pompa Magna”.
